My practice explores the fluid boundaries between material manipulation, mark making, and improvisation. Rooted in a background of sculpture, drawing, and collage, I treat the printmaking plate as a tactile, three dimensional site. Inspired by landscape, nature and music, some of these images serve as visual scores to inspire musicians to improvise to. This fluid interplay extends to my photography, which captures similar themes that filter back into my printmaking.
