Taking the term “reflection” as a starting point, a parallel is drawn with the word “bi-flexion,” framing the engagement of thought as a focus on the conceptual nature of space. Indeed, if culture represents the continuous dimension of reflection, then in this work art becomes the spatial dimension of bi-flexion—that is, of a dual reflexion.
While the intellectual realm often leaves no trace—being ephemeral and speculative—the artistic realm targets an asymptotic element that traces a distinct visual imprint; in doing so, it becomes an element of competing conceptual ideation capable of describing the very process of existential becoming.
