Physical and psychological emotions and chronic pain are transformative – they can change the body and reshape people’s sense of internal and external selves over time. Identity becomes fluid, concealed, revealed, compressed, negotiated and reactive to variable bodily and wearing experiences over time where the visibility of self is questioned. Drawing upon this and research that explores embodied emotion, the becoming, and the multiplicity of self, creative responses to texture and identity are explored here.
