Combining diagnostic images with digital landscape imagery, Linda Alterwitz presents a sensitive commentary on the condition of physical fragility during illness. Through this pairing of the scanned body with the ever-receding horizon, Alterwitz expresses the distancing that takes place through feelings of uncertainty, apprehension, and the isolation of illness.
