I am a sculptor inspired by life. I have lifelong fascination with human beings, which I express in three dimensions, celebrating the unique in everyone. I make figurative sculpture because the human form remains, for me, the most direct way to register presence. My practice celebrates humanity in all its variety, with women as a recurring subject. I work from life wherever possible, sketching fast in clay without measurement, resisting the urge to perfect what emerges. I aim to capture essence rather than reproduce likeness. This interest in process over control extends across materials, from stoneware and porcelain, where firing introduces its own unpredictability, to cold cast bronze, plaster, Jesmonite, and domestic materials such as rice paper and fabric.

Details: In the summer of 2025, my bronze of Fanny Wilkinson was unveiled in Coronation Gardens, London, with coverage from the BBC, ITV, The Art Newspaper and The Guardian. It is the first in an intended series celebrating female achievement in public space, extending my interest in presence into permanent, civic form.
