Biography

American artist, Linda Alterwitz (born 1960), has been making work that combines art and science for the past twenty years of a forty-year art career. Her work has evolved into visualising the unseen systems that shape our world, encouraging dialogue around choice, trust, and collective experience. Thinking about the unseen connections bridging humanity, technology, and the natural world, while making the decision to combine art and science in her artwork has led Alterwitz to engage in debates on personal agency. This has led to increased attention and visibility for her work in the last ten years, and there has been significant growth in the last five years.
