Virga Gallery, in conjunction with [cloud], is pleased to announce an open call for our first online curated exhibition.
Deadline for entries: 30 July 2026.
Our first online exhibition opportunity is based on The Fold by Gilles Deleuze. This exhibition is inspired by Deleuze’s philosophical framework, particularly his essay The Fold, and the wider thinking that emerges from his engagement with Leibniz, Baroque architecture, interiority, multiplicity, and the continuous surface of experience.
For Deleuze, The Fold describes:
- interior and exterior as continuous rather than opposed.
- matter and thought as endlessly inflecting one another.
- subjectivity as layered, pleated, and in process.
- the world as something that bends, curves, gathers and disperses.
The call is open to international artists and we welcome entries in all media, though any AI generated imagery must be made within arts based research. One image only per entry, but you may enter as many times as you like. Entry fee is £5, or equivalent currency exchange. Visit our sister site [cloud] Shop for details and to make your purchase.
We look forward to seeing your artwork!
