The Fold Curatorial Talk with Dr Jane Boyer
Join us on 10 November for a curator’s talk with Dr Jane Boyer, who will discuss the challenges she faced, and the solutions she implimented in curating an online exhibition. Pre-booking is now open in our [cloud] Shop.
The Fold De-Symposium
Then on 5 January 2027 we will begin The Fold De-Symposium. Our De-Symposium, organised by Dr Jane Robb, is determined and led by its participants. This means that we will be gathering the topics to address in the De-Symposium from you, to plan what will happen on the day. There is no keynote speaker, no selected panel speakers, all participants at the De-Symposium are equal and entitled to contribute as much – or as little – as they please to the event. Discussions held on the day will be open and constructive, and the outcomes will be determined by the participants. If you wish to participate in the De-Sypmosium, you will automatically be booked for the event. You can find more details for participating in this process here.
Pre-booking to attend the De-Symposium as a member of our audience is now open in our [cloud] Shop.
The Fold Vernissage
The Fold exhibition closes on Sunday 31 January 2027. To celebrate the artists, the exhibition, and everyone who has visited we will hold a vernissage on Tuesday 26 January and replay The Fold PowerPoint. This novel approach to an online private view event stirred some thoughtful meditations by participants. You can read one by Dr Gemma Marmalade here, and Dr Jane Robb will be making a contribution to Critical Wednesday next week with her thoughts on the experience. Watch our socials for that! If you were unable to attend the private view for The Fold, then please join us for the vernissage. The event is free but pre-booking is required.
